Hi, I've just come back from a holiday in Weymouth and I'm very familiar with the Tank Museum (you'll love it!). There are a lot of decent pubs that serve good food nearby. Try the Black Dog just outside Dorchester or the Royal Oak in Bere Regis. I've had great meals in both of these and they are relatively close to the museum.
